History

1994

We opened Harlekin Pizzeria in the centre of Ribnica. The premises of the restaurant were rented, yet we already then wished to own an inn, which would be architecturally modelled after the traditional Slovenian rural inns and would also provide lodging. The key concerns were integrating it into the local community and the possibility to revive the traditions of the town and the region.

2000

The wish to own an inn persisted, yet Ribnica did not offer a good opportunity, so we made a decisive step and bought the old inn Pr’ Kralj’ in Verje near Medvode. The old building was replaced with a new one, while simultaneously preserving the appearance of the old inn’s facade.

2005

We opened Harlekin Pizzeria and Spaghetteria in Medvode. The more spacious premises enabled us to enlarge our offer. Beside pizzas, which remained our main offer, we served a wide variety of pasta, salads and some meat dished. We were providing ready meals for lunch breaks on weekdays, at weekends also à la carte menus.

The inn became a popular meeting point frequented by regulars and local patrons. We offered room for parties, later on we also organised events, such as stand-up comedy evenings.

2006

Soon after Harlekin Pizzaria and Spaghetteria in Medvode was opened, an opportunity for our own new inn appeared in Ribnica. We did not miss the opportunity and began building a new inn.

2011

Managing Harlekin Pizzeria and Spaghetteria in Medvode and at the same time managing the construction of the new inn in Ribnica became too demanding, so we rented out the restaurant in Medvode.

2012

The ardent wish, incessant endeavours and bold decisions bore fruit. In April, we opened the new Harlekin Inn and Pizzeria in Ribnica.
